This is how I am  going to describe “my soulmate” if people are asking me about him…

My “soul mate” is look a bit older than his age ( cannot complain, okay!! ) He is tall ( taller than me ) and older than me , sometimes he doesn’t care about me, but I know that he loves me so much. He is not so handsome ( huh! don’t be angry ). He never gives so much attention of the way I look, the way I dress, and the way I put make up. But I know that he admires me ( always ). In contrary, he also not gives so much attention to the way he performs. He always wear white shirt ( and sometimes white jacket ) if he goes to work, because he has to.

( According to his mother) He is a hardworking person, because he works from dusk till dawn and from dawn till dusk. From morning he has been working, doing part time teaching at the university and in the afternoon he does professional practice till late at night.

If he wakes up in the morning, the first thing that being greeted by him is his car ( not his “Soul Mate” ). As you know, he is a great fans of racing cars and sport cars. Michael Schumacher is his idol all the time more than everyone. He never miss racing event in television, but in the other side, sometimes he miss his “soul mate” and his family if there was a racing event. Ferarri is his dream car ,which he hasn’t had effort to buy it ( now ). So he turns his car to his own racing car ( in his imagination ).

Deep inside of his heart he is a very kind person. A lot of people like him. Even his students ( especially girls … according to his own confession) like him ( ehm..???? )…..not true..not true, who will like an ugly guy like him……!!

He works almost 24 hours a day. Sometimes he doesn’t even have time for his family.

He can make friend with everyone. Sometimes he gives his money to the people or his friend who needs it ( but sometimes he forget to give to his own wife). He can be so stubborn but sometimes he can be so nice to me.

The wonderful thing about him is that he gives me the most precious thing in my life, who is my lovely son.

In this time, I really miss him. I do not know what is he doing now, or where he is…But I hope that he is thinking about me,too.

My name is Christine Wonoseputro, I was born on November, 9th 1976. Chinese say that I was born on the year of Dragon, which is the most powerful chinese zodiac among all. People say that dragon is ambitious, creative, powerful, and full of spirit. More or less, probably it’s….. true?!  That’s me…I did not believe on that kind of myths, but more or less, I feel that it was probably true, according to my real character.

My father’s name is Ferry Wonoseputro, he is an electrical engineer, and my mom is Ratna Tjahyati. I took architecture as my major subject in university, and I was  graduated as Bachelor of Engineering in Architecture on September 1999.

In year 1997, for the first time, I met my future husband. We met at the choir when he was working at HSBC and waiting for his professional practice in medical school. And after I was  graduated, I engaged to him, on Valentine Day, 14th of Febuary 1999.

In June 1999 I applied to become a part time tutor at Interior Design Department and being accepted, so from that time I began my career as a lecturer in a private university in Surabaya, which is the largest and oldest private university in eastern Indonesia. In the other side, I run my own “tiny firm”, Sketsa Arsitektur, with my cousin.

In the millenium year, which was also the year of Golden Dragon, I married with my husband on my birthday month in Indonesian Christian Church in Surabaya and we gather our reception at Novotel and Balai Kartika Surabaya. We spend our honeymoon in Sydney and Gold Coast, on December 2000. In December 2003, I give birth to my first son, Winston, who is now about 3 years old. From that time I start to become working mother, baby sitting him and also teaching as a full time lecturer at Architecture Department of Petra Christian University.

In year 2006,  I received a full-scholarship from Petra to continue my Master Degree at NAFA/ Huddersfield in Spatial Design, the major subject that I really want. Before I continue my postgraduate study, I promise that I would not take a wrong subject which I do not like, like other scholarship holders in my Department. This precious time that has been given to me has made me learn a lot about outside living, meeting a lot of people from many countries,  and getting a wide opportunity to broaden up my mind.

Now I am at Singapore, staying at Tanglin for about next 5 months and spending my wonderful time here…. Thank God.

After those hectic days, preparing our formative presentation, some of us may not be sleep over nights and some of us have been worked so hard and…

Look at these :

yummy… because all of us are starving and those foods are really relieving our stress. Look at our face, no more pressure except enjoying the food. And the spagetti…. uh… its so nice . look at Joey :

This is Winston Christiano Wiradinata. My little Sunshine….

He is 3 year old, a bright and wonderful God’s gift to both of us. Winston was born in the 7th of December 2003. He was born at International Hospital of Surabaya ( HCoS ) by ceasar operation. The doctor who helped me at that time was supposed to be dr. Johannes Harman, but he was not at Surabaya, so dr. Pujo,his assistant in charge, was doing the operation . When he was born, he was about 3,85 kg, has a thick black hair and red skin. When he was born, I know that he is a strong and healthy boy.

We are the 1st NAFA Cohort in Master of Art in Spatial Design. All of us is like brother and sister. Andy’s background is an Interior Designer. Previously, he worked as a practitioner in architecture and interior design firm . And Joey, our little princess, she is a model… oh no ( he he , just joking ) , she is BA ( Hons ) in Interior Design from UK. She is a “princess” from Malaysia hahaha. Actually there are 4 of us. The other one is Leena ( unfortunately, she is not showing in this picture ), she is a student from India. All 3 of us have the same interest, especially during the lunch or break time : it’s to eat and to find the nice place to eat together.

Though I am the oldest among them, sometime they call me big sis. Joey is the youngest among us.

The picture above was taken in our 1st site investigation at Majestic Hotel. Andy, I think you are growing up right now. He looks much much slimmer and .. younger.

During study period, we are doing a lot of study and field trip. Especially Critical Design Analysis Module, which has a lot of trip, with our lecturer, Mr.Kent Neo. Kent has introduce us with a lot of spatial experience and spatial investigation.
